Now that summer has officially arrived, it’s time to start thinking about summer trips! Whether you travel to the beach or to the mountains this summer, the following tips and tricks work for me and will hopefully work for you as well.
We have used these clear zipper bags (in extra large and large) for several trips now, and they are a lifesaver. I fill one up for each of the kids with all of their favorite snacks for the plane ride, and it easily fits in their backpacks. I also use them for toiletries; it fits full-size products which makes packing so much easier, and you don’t have to worry about anything leaking on your clothes or in your suitcase. For beach trips, I fill one up with goggles, sunscreen, and little swim toys for the kids- it makes it super easy to just throw it in the bag that we take to the beach or pool. If you have a little one that is still in diapers, you can also use it to hold a few diapers and wipes!
For trips to the beach, we bring these mesh bags for the kids to collect shells and other treasures that they find on the beach. The mesh design keeps the water out and the treasures in, plus it comes with a little strap so they can wear it over their shoulder while walking. We also bring some sand toys for sandcastle building; this set is amazing because everything folds flat, which saves room in your suitcase, and then you just unfold everything when you get the beach.
If you are traveling internationally, you’ll want to bring a few adapters with you! These are the ones that we’ve had forever, they work great and are easy to pack. Other electronics to make your life easier (regardless of where you are traveling): this small portable charger, AirTags to put in your checked baggage to give you peace of mind, this bluetooth transmitter/receiver so you can use your wireless headphones anywhere, and some super fast chargers for your hotel room.
Lastly, here is the luggage we use (it also comes in a carry-on size). We keep it simple with black, but they have lots of other colors- it is truly some of the best luggage you will ever have. Don’t forget luggage tags- Etsy has tons of chic options, especially this style and this style.
